I think these BBCOR Bat Rankings are based on how many bought. You don’t think price plays a part in these BBCOR Bat Rankings? The Rawlings Plasma baseball bat can’t begin to compare to a higher priced bat. Give those kids, say, a Rip-It and they will be impressed by how much better it performs. The Plasma is not a very good bat. You get what you pay for.

The Managers’ Response: Kevin, there certainly is a strong statistical correlation between the number of BBCOR Baseball Bats sold and the number of reviews that are submitted. We basically provide 4 different Rankings of the Best BBCOR Baseball Bats: 1) SOLELY based on reviews posted by Players, Coaches and Parents – those bats that have received more than 20 reviews; and 2) SOLELY based on reviews posted by Players, Coaches and Parents – those bats that have received less than 20 reviews (the reason we split between over/under 20 is that the smaller the number of reviews, the greater the possibility that a small number can be skewed statistically – and maybe by manufactures or vendors trying to push a bat).

These first two Rankings of BBCOR Baseball Bats are provided so that we aren’t accused of providing OUR bias to the reviews from Players, Coaches and Parents.

The next two Rankings of the Top BBCOR Baseball Bats are based on OUR opinion which is based on our experiences as managers and coaches PLUS the feedback we receive via reviews (mostly for durability feedback): 3) The Best BBCOR Baseball Bats for Line Drive & Contact Hitters; and 4) The Best BBCOR Baseball Bats for Power Hitters.

These 4 lists are provided along with OUR review of each BBCOR Baseball Bat (most of them, anyway). Hopefully, with these 5 sets of information, we can provide some insight as to the performance and durability of these bats – they are so expensive today.

We’re just a group of managers and coaches trying to help parents deal with these outrageous costs of bats (as you know, the top end bats are $400+). We don’t make much money from the google ads – about enough to pay for the hosting of the website plus a little programming to maintain it. Obviously, you can choose to disregard any info you find on our website.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback, Kevin. And Good Luck to you, (or your son or your team) this season!
